Thai Foot Massage

A Thai foot massage is truly a great way to relax. This treatment combines massage and elements of Reflexology to aid in overall balance and well being. The feet and lower legs (front and back)up to the knee are massaged and light acupressure is used. A Thai foot stick is used to apply gentle pressure on acupressure points. This treatment is relaxing yet energising, working with the energy channels in the body it simulates the flow of energy in your body. That Foot Massage affects the whole body bringing it back towards balance and homeostasis.

The benefits of a Thai Foot Massage include:

Reduces stress.

Aids in relaxation.

Stimulates lymphatic draining and circulation – thus eliminating toxins.

Improves blood circulation.

Raises your energy level.

Improves sleep.

What happens in a treatment?

A full consultation is taken on your first visit and the treatment will take into consideration your present health and lifestyle. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs. On some occasions it may be necessary to get your GP’s approval before a treatment can begin.

A treatment will last an hour – you will be asked to remove your socks and shoes, clothing up to ( & including) your knees, then you lie on a plinth. Nothing is expected of you just to lie back and relax.

After the treatment you will be given home advice to maximise the treatments’ benefits.

There are some people that Thai Foot Massage is not suitable for, these include include if you have;

Any contagious foot disease – such as athlete’s foot, verrucas, warts or any infection of the feet or lower leg. If you have a fever or contagious or infectious disease, if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you have a history of miscarriage and the current pregnancy is unstable pregnancy. If you are receiving radiotherapy on your foot or leg – Hand reflexology may be a better option for you with permission from your oncologist. Trauma to the foot or ankle 72 hours prior to treatment.
