Sound Therapy Workshops

These workshops are made up of 3 modules.  Students can complete the Modules in any order they feel drawn to do so.  

These modules are open to everyone to discover the joy of Sound Therapy and how to support your health and wellbeing with Sound Therapy.

Theses modules are part of a series of modules that compliment the Diploma in Sound Therapy course. They build on the practitioner’s knowledge in Sound Therapy.  

Students already trained in the Diploma in Sound Therapy or hold a recognised training in the use of singing bowls for therapy, can broaden their Sound Therapy practice and discover new areas of specialisation in how to work with clients.


There are many different tuning forks to suit a variety of needs.


Tuning Forks Module.

This is a 2-day training course

You will learn how to:

  • Use tuning forks, weighted and unweighted
  • Using tuning fork on and off the body
  • Cleanse a space
  • Cleanse crystals
  • Balance your Chakras
  • Cleanse the energetic field
  • Move energy through the meridians
  • Broaden your Sound Therapy practice to compliment your Diploma in Sound Therapy Course – Course details below*.

Students will learn how to use multiple techniques and use multiple sets of tuning forks for different therapy sessions. They will also experience and conduct individual sessions with tuning forks.


Equipment needed: 1 Large towel, 3 pillowcases, plinth cover or single fitted sheet. Pen and paper. If you own any tuning forks – bring them all along!


Drum and Gong Module


Drum and Gongs are powerful instruments to aids healing, they are a vehicle for reflection, release and change.


This is a 2-day training course

You will learn

  • How to do a personal sound healing session using Drum and Gongs
  • How to use the Drum and Gongs to support your meditation practice.
  • Using the Drum and Gong in grounding techniques.
  • How to balance the Chakras and cleanse the energetic field.
  • This Course will cover the history and origins of the Drum and Gong.
  • The course will cover practical exercises in playing Drum and Gongs.
  • Students will learn how to conduct individual sessions with Drum and Gong.
  • Student will learn how to introduce drums and gongs into a sound bath.
  • Broaden your Sound Therapy practice to compliment your Diploma in Sound Therapy Course – Course details below*.

Equipment needed:

If you own a drum, gong or shaker – bring them all along but some will be supplied for use during class.


Chanting Module.

About the course:

This is a 1-day training course in Chanting.


Chanting can have psychological benefits by lifting your mood, relaxing your body and reviving your spirit.



Chanting can help you release emotions.
Chanting can help your meditation practice. This course is for those who want to use Chanting as a support for their personal well being.

What will I learn on this course?

You will learn how to;

  • Hum for healing and pain management
  • Use your voice for personal healing, meditation and mindful practices.
  • Chant
  • Seed Sounds, Bija Mantras
  • Different Chants
  • How to balance your Chakras using your voice.

Equipment needed – none!

However you are welcome to bring instruments along if you would like!

Please note you do not need to be “a good singer” to attend this course.  This course will encourage you to see the beauty of your own voice and you will  Sing, Chant and have fun!

There are no prerequisites for these modules for personal enjoyment and self care,  everyone is welcome.

To practice this therapy on the general public you must have a qualification in Sound Therapy.

Who are the workshops open to? 

These Sound Therapy workshops are open to everyone, but there are a few situations where help may be needed, or caution is advised.
They are:
If you have difficulty lying on the floor you need to contact the office do discuss how we can assist you in attending.
If you have had metal plates fitted within the last 12 months, the sound can vibrate them, and this can feel uncomfortable – so wait 12 months please.
If you have a pacemaker fitted this is not a therapy for you
If you have had major surgery in the last 3 months please contact us to discuss how we can assist you in attending.
Sound healing can bring up emotions so if you are going through a very stressful time please be aware of this a prepare in advance by having a support someone to share with available to you after the course.


Certification

Non therapists, attending the course, will receive a non-professional certificate only.
This certificate can be exchanged (free of charge) for a professional one upon completion of a Sound Therapy qualification or an anatomy and physiology qualification.

*There are some people that a Sound Therapy is not suitable for and these include: if you’re in the first trimester of pregnancy, if you have a pace maker, metal plates or implants. If you are within 3 months of a major surgery or emotional upheaval in your life. Participants will be asked to remove jewellery before we begin … this is giving you a head start!
